IMPORTANT: Stone of A Beach only accepts Brazilian Reals!

Situated in the heart of Copacabana (safe area) no more than 5 minutes walk to the world famous beach, our hostel is vibrant, cultural and as laid-back as the lifestyle of the city of Rio!

The signature roof terrace is a large open area, during the day it is perfect for topping up your tan while lazing in a hammock or deck chair and colling off every now and again with a dip in the splash pool. At night it transforms into lively bar environment where something is always happening, whether it be bbq's, woodoven pizzas or capoeira presentations, it is the perfect place to start your evenings entertainment. Great place to make friends and decide where to head later in the night. read more

Address
Stone Of a Beach
Rua Barata Ribeiro, 111
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Directions
FROM AIRPORT:

The best and easiest option is to take a taxi. Depending on the time, it should cost between 30-40 Reais. Directions for Taxi: Simply show or tell the driver our street address and they will know where to go. WeŽre on the corner with the street - 'Rua Duvivier'.

A cheaper option is the ŽRealŽ bus. Walk out of the arrivals lounge, take a right past the waiting taxis and look out for the aiport bus stop. It costs around 6 Reais & the driver speaks english. It goes along the main beach road of Copacabana - 'Avenida Atlantica' . Ask to stop at 'Hotel International' or 'Rua Duvivier' (street name). Walk up this street (Rua Duvivier) two blocks and turn right onto 'Rua Barata Ribeiro'. WeŽre the second building on the right.

FROM BUS STATION:

Again the best and easiest option is to take a radio taxi from just outside the bus station. You pay a fixed fee at the counter. It will cost about 20 Reais to get to Copacabana. Directions for taxi: Simply show or tell the driver our street address in Copacabana and they will know. WeŽre on the corner with steet - 'Rua Duvivier'.

Another option is to take the ŽRealŽ Bus from in front of the bus station. ItŽs cheaper but takes much longer. It costs 4 Reais & the driver speaks English. Walk past the taxi rank just outside the station & wait for the bus at the side of the road opposite. They run every 15 minutes and will stop on the main beach road (avenida atlantica). Ask to stop at 'Hotel International' or 'Rua Duvivier' (street name). Walk up this street (Rua Duvivier) two blocks and turn right onto 'Rua Barata Rebeiro'. WeŽre the second building on the right.

Alternatively, walk over to the other side of the station and walk across the road, past the taxis, and catch any bus to 'Copacabana', most of which run along ŽRua Barata RibeiroŽ. Watch out for 'Rua Duvivier' on your left and get off there. You will see our place 2 buildings before this street.

Looking forward to welcoming you!!

one of the most amazing hostels i've stayed in... only 4 blocks from Copacabana beach and only a couple blocks from metro station (3 stops) that takes you right to Ipanema beach. The hostel was super chill, all the staff was friendly and helpful. The upstairs terrace/bar is a great place to spend time and meet great people and there is a hottub. the food that you can buy at the bar is also delicious.. cheap drinks at the bar as well, just all around fun environment. I recommend this hostel to everyone who wants to have a great time in Rio!

Algunos del staff eran muy carinosos, pero los demas no ayudaban mucho. Habria que esforzarles mucho para que me ajude, responde ... Pero a parte de esto, es un hostel recomendable.

I really liked the hostel. Had a lot of fun. But the only thing is the air conditioner works only between 11pm to 10 am. So myself as a siesta lover couldnt really stayed at the dorm during the day. But all my 5 nights at the hostel was unforgetable. Eu seguramente voltaria.
