We've smashed our prices for the green season. Now is the best time to check out 'the most complete hostel in Panama City'

Come and see what others are already talking about and why we are the best option for backpackers in the city's center.

'Tree Top' level rooms overlook the hotel/casino district of the city. Dorm rooms and private rooms come with and without AC (ask about the 'ice box' dorm room); communal area with TV, movies (digital theatre coming soon), free internet with good wireless signal throughout the main floor and rooms. Walking distance from bars/clubs, restaurants, shopping, casinos, and supermarkets. VIP entrance for the guests in several of the city's clubs with a party planed somewhere in the city EVERY night. There is a huge communal kitchen, not joking. 'Backpacker breakfast' available to all, as well as a full breakfast menu for purchase. Laundry service, garage parking with remote access, equipment rental for excursions, airport transfers and reputable boats (no dodgy captains) to Colombia through San Blas can all be arranged. Car rental and Mirador Adventures tour operator on site with info and budget excursions to literally ALL parts of Panama and the Republic of Chiriqui. read more

A chill inviting, yet adventurous hostel located in the safe area of El Cangrejo. With spacious rooms private or dorms, fully equipped kitchen and a great opened air balcony where everybody like to gather around. Fitting singles/couples who are looking for privacy, as well for group of friends who want to party.

Very disappointed to arrive at the hostel, tired and hot after an early morning flight to find that the hostel had no private rooms available and would not honor our reservation. This was incredibly inconvenient as backpacker accommodation is in short supply and high demand in Panama city, and it is necessary to book at least a few days in advance to avoid getting stuck with less than ideal lodgings. A few days later we made another reservation 4 days in advance at La Junga through HostelBookers, as we thought the hostel seemed friendly and clean and had believed the staff when they told us it was a one off error. Unfortunately, when we arrived at the histel at around midday on the day of the reservation our room was again unavailable and the hostel refuse to honor the reservation. Again, this was incredibly annoying as we had been camping in San Blas for 4 days and were looking forward to a shower and the room waiting for us! When at the hostel we met another couple who also had the hostel refuse/unable to honor their reservation made on HostelBookers. It does seem clean and friendly from the reception area but we do not recommend that you book online!

Excellent location and one of the best staff members I've met. A little bit expensive though, but seems to include all hostels in Panama City.

My friend and I stayed here during our week stay in the city and absolutely loved it. It was super affordable, but still had clean and cozy rooms. I would definitely recommend it to anyone traveling through Panama City. It is a great deal!
